Our Story

In 1996, a zoning law change created the opportunity for obsolete office buildings with deep floor plates in Manhattan’s Financial District to be converted for residential use.

Principal of CCM; Michael Siciliani, was the founder and managing member of Newmark Construction Services, the pioneer in these adaptive reuse ventures. Starting with the 400,000 square foot commercial building at 90/100 John Street in 1997 the firm went on to become the premier residential conversion specialists in New York converting nearly 35 commercial properties, over 7 million square feet into more than 6,500 residential units.

Along the way, we developed very specific strategies and sequencing methods to streamline the construction process by utilizing the existing structural and mechanical infrastructure of the former commercial “bones”. Many of our projects involve landmark interiors and exteriors, and we have achieved historic tax credits for numerous clients as a result.

Today, CCM harnesses the strength of our teams collective experience, with a depth of industry relationships among design professionals and sub-contractors to provide the most comprehensive and cost effective integrated delivery process available.
